BillyPaid (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website billypaid.com and the associated application at app.billypaid.com (together, the “Service”). These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

The Service lets you create and send invoices, estimates, quotes, receipts, credit notes, and related billing documents, and accept payment from your clients online. A free account can generate and send documents on the free plan. Paid subscription plans unlock additional features such as recurring billing, automatic payment reminders, and additional team seats.

BillyPaid is a tool to help you run your billing. It is not accounting or tax-filing software, and it does not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of the documents you send and for meeting any tax, invoicing, or record-keeping obligations that apply to your business.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by any team members you invite. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and you may only use the Service for lawful purposes.

Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans are billed on a subscription basis (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout) and renew automatically until canceled. Payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; a price change never affects a billing cycle you have already paid for.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Canceling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for.

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Client payments

When your clients pay an invoice through the Service, payment is processed by Stripe or PayPal, not by BillyPaid directly. Payout timing, fees, and dispute handling for those payments are governed by Stripe’s and PayPal’s own terms, which you accept separately when connecting an account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not: resell or redistribute the Service itself; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users’ data; interfere with or disrupt the Service; or use the Service to send fraudulent invoices or bill for goods and services you did not provide. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

Intellectual property

We own the Service, its software, and branding. You retain ownership of your business information, client data, and the content of the documents you create. When you use the Service, you grant us a license to process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any payment will be successfully collected.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost revenue from a late or failed client payment.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there.
